Pamela B. Petersen

Pam Petersen is an AV® peer review rated attorney with 36 years of appellate and commercial litigation experience nationwide. Pam served as Co-Chair and Editor of the Arizona Appellate Handbook from 2006-2017. She is past chair the Appellate Practice Section of the Arizona State Bar and served on its Executive Council from 2008-2015. Pam is a three-time chair of the Arizona Appellate Practice Institute (2010, 2012, 2014). From 2000-2005, she authored the Criminal Appeals supplements for the Ninth Circuit Appellate Handbook (West 2d ed.).

Pam currently is Vice President of Litigation and National Appellate Counsel for Axon Enterprise, Inc. (formerly TASER International). Her appellate career began in 1986 clerking for Hon. Mary Schroeder on the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. She handled numerous appeals as Chief Assistant U.S. Attorney for the District of Arizona and a partner on Lewis and Roca LLP’s appellate practice team. From 2000 – 2012, the Law Office of Pamela B. Petersen focused heavily in appeals, including working with trial counsel to set up and preserve issues for appeal during the pre- and post-trial motion phases of a case. Pam moved in-house at Axon in May 2012, briefing and arguing all Axon appeals nationally, as well as serving as appellate counsel on the trial team in TASER product liability, commercial and IP litigation.
