Mike Rubin is one of the leaders of the multi-state law firm of McGlinchey Stafford PLLC and chairs the firm’s Appellate Practice Team. He has handled and won numerous ground-breaking cases in the fields of commercial law, real estate and finance, labor law, and bankruptcy in the U.S. Fifth Circuit, the Louisiana Supreme Court, and Louisiana intermediate appellate courts.

He is a past-President of the Bar Association of the U.S. Fifth Circuit, the American College of Real Estate Lawyers, the Louisiana State Bar Association, and the Southern Conference of Bar Presidents. He is a Life Member of the American Law Institute and a Commissioner of the Uniform Law Commission. He is an author of, co-author of, and contributing writer to more than a dozen legal books and over fifty articles, and his works are used in law schools and have been cited as authoritative by state and federal trial and appellate courts, including the Louisiana Supreme Court, federal district courts, and the U.S. Fifth Circuit.

For more than three decades, he also has been an Adjunct Professor at LSU Law School, teaching courses in both Louisiana finance and legal ethics. He also has been an adjunct professor at Tulane Law School.

Michael H. Rubin has served as President of the Louisiana State Bar Association, Bar Association of the U.S. Fifth Federal Circuit, and the Southern Conference of Bar Presidents. He served on the Rules Committee of the U.S. Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, is a Past Chair of the Civil Justice Reform Act Committee for the Middle District of Louisiana, and heads up the Appellate Team of the multi-state law firm of McGlinchey Stafford, with offices in Louisiana, Texas, Ohio, and Mississippi. In addition, as an Adjunct Professor at the LSU Law School for over 35 years, and as an Adjunct Professor at Tulane University, he has written, co-written, and been a contributing author to twelve books and numerous law review articles. His publications have been cited as authoritative by courts at all levels in Louisiana and by federal courts. Mr. Rubin is a past-President of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers and the Louisiana State Bar Association. He is a member of the invitation-only international Association for Real Property and Infrastructure (formerly the Anglo-American Real Property Institute)where he is one of less than 50 U.S. members), the American College of Mortgage Attorneys, and the American College of Commercial Finance Attorneys.
