Lindsey is a founding shareholder of Keating Jones Hughes, P.C. The firm focuses on professional liability defense, with a primary emphasis in medical malpractice and hospital liability. She has handled more than two hundred appeals over her career, and she has helped shape Oregon law through the reported decisions in cases she has brief and argued, particularly in the medical liability arena. She also defends medical providers and lawyers in both state and federal trial court,s including representing hospitals, providers in correctional settings, and nonprofit organizations on a wide variety of civil claims, including Section 1983 claims. She consults regularly on matters related to peer review, EMTALA and HIPAA/HITECH, and she is experienced in assisting hospitals, clinics and other covered entities in responses to complaints and governmental investigations related to alleged violations.

In addition to Oregon, Lindsey is admitted to practice in Washington and Idaho. She is admitted to practice in the federal district courts in all three states and to the U.S. Supreme Court. She is also admitted to and appears before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.

Lindsey is a Fellow of the American Academy of Appellate Lawyers, and she currently is on the Executive Board of the Litigation Section of the Oregon State Bar. She has been selected annually as an Oregon Super Lawyer, and has for several years been listed among Oregon’s top ten appellate lawyers. She has an AV rating with Martindale-Hubbell and is annually recognized in Best Lawyers in Appellate Practice.

Lindsey has served on the Oregon Appellate Rules and the Oregon Trial Court Rules Committees, the Oregon Board of Bar Examiners, and on the Board of Directors for the Oregon Association of Defense Counsel. She is a frequent author and lecturer on issues of civil practice, healthcare and medical liability.
