Practice Focus

Laurie Webb Daniel has argued before the United States Supreme Court and various other courts. Her appellate work frequently addresses business, competition, and tort liability issues, among others. At Holland & Knight, Ms. Daniel has implemented an approach to significant litigation that combines the skills of an appellate advocate with those of substantive specialists at the start of the case to ensure that legal issues are well developed and preserved as necessary for a successful outcome – whether the matter is concluded in the trial court or on appeal. As a result, Ms. Daniel routinely assists trial lawyers nationwide with high stakes litigation. Specific examples of the benefits of this approach are discussed in an article published by the Association of Corporate Counsel: George B. Brunt and Laurie Webb Daniel, Appellate Counsel: Why Hiring Them Early Pays Off, ACC Docket 22, No. 1 (January 2004), 64-79.
