Dennis Benjamin

Dennis Benjamin is a partner at Nevin, Benjamin & McKay, LLP, in Boise, Idaho. He practices criminal defense in both state and federal court, with an emphasis on appeals and post-conviction proceedings. He has been admitted to the Washington, California, and Idaho State Bars, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court.

After receiving undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Washington, Dennis clerked for Justice Stephen Bistline at the Idaho Supreme Court. He practiced civil litigation in San Francisco and was an appellate public defender in Seattle before joining the Nevin firm in 1993. Since then, he has argued before the Ninth Circuit several times and has handled hundreds of cases before the Idaho appellate courts. He has also appeared before the Washington and Idaho Supreme Courts as amicus curiae on behalf of civil liberty and criminal justice organizations.
