Charles “Chip” Becker is an attorney at Kline & Specter, P.C., which focuses on personal injury litigation. A graduate of Williams College and Yale Law School, he served as a law clerk for the Honorable Sandra L. Lynch of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit. Mr. Becker serves on the Pennsylvania Supreme Court’s Appellate Courts Procedural Rules Committee, which advises on Pennsylvania appellate rules. He also serves on the Supreme Court’s Commission on Judicial Independence, which promotes understanding about the role of the courts in civil society. He currently is the president of the Third Circuit Bar Association and a member of the American Law Institute. He has served on the adjunct faculty at the University of Pennsylvania Law School teaching appellate advocacy, and has chaired the Appellate Courts Committee of the Philadelphia Bar Association. At Kline & Specter, Mr. Becker has primary responsibility for the firm’s post-trial and appellate litigation and frequently appears in the Pennsylvania appellate courts and the Third Circuit. He also works with firm lawyers on many issues as they arise in the firm’s cases, including case and claim selection, venue and dispositive motions, in limine motions, trial strategy, and settlement.
