Bruce Merenstein is a partner and chair of the Appellate Practice Group at Schnader Harrison Segal & Lewis LLP. He previously served as vice-chair of the firm’s Litigation Department and chair of its Pro Bono Committee. He has a comprehensive appellate practice and also has served as the Special Master in a number of complex federal-court matters. Mr. Merenstein taught appellate advocacy for many years at Drexel University School of Law, is an elected member of the American Law Institute, and has served in a number of leadership positions in the Philadelphia Bar Association, including chairing its Appellate Courts Committee and Federal Courts Committee. He currently serves on the Lawyers Advisory Committee of the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, by appointment of the court’s Chief Judge.
Mr. Merenstein received his J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School, graduating summa cum laude, and his B.A. from Brandeis University. He earned a Master’s Degree in Labor Relations from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst and spent almost a decade before law school working in the labor relations field. Mr. Merenstein clerked for the Honorable Edward R. Becker of the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.
