Warren W. Harris heads Bracewell’s appellate group. He is board certified in civil appellate law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and has handled hundreds of appeals. Mr. Harris is president of the Houston Bar Association. He is a former chair of the State Bar of Texas Appellate Section, Houston Bar Appellate Practice Section, ABA Tort and Insurance Practice Section Appellate Advocacy Committee, and International Association of Defense Counsel Appellate Practice Committee. He is past president of the Texas Supreme Court Historical Society. He has spoken at over one hundred legal education seminars. He has received the Warren W. Harris Outstanding Nominating Chair Award from the Texas Bar Foundation and the Gene Cavin Award for Excellence in Continuing Legal Education from the State Bar.
Mr. Harris served as a law clerk for the Supreme Court of Texas. He has served as Special Assistant Appellate Disciplinary Counsel in attorney discipline appeals and has represented the United States as an Appellate Special Prosecutor.
